Foreign language classes
The Language Centre runs courses for students of all faculties in the following languages:
• English
• German
• Polish as a foreign language.
The first-cycle language course lasts four semesters (120 hours in total, 30 hours per semester) and starts from the second or third semestre of study. Students attend classes in the language of their choice ( the most frequently chosen language is English with the language proficiency B2 target level).
During second-cycle studies, foreign language classes are conducted according to the order of the given faculty of Opole University of Technology (30 or 60 hours blocks of specialist language).
Polish language classes are intended for students who are not Polish citizens who undergo a full education cycle in Polish at the OUTech. Classes are held at full-time and part-time, first and second cycle studies. First cycle studies include 60 hours of classes in the first year of study, second degree studies include 30 hours of Polish language classes.
E-LEARNING
English language courses are conducted online, using the English language learning platform (Macmillan English Campus) at part-time, first and second cycle studies.
Since November 1, 2009, these classes have been conducted at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatic Control and Informatics, and from November 1, 2010 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (in all part-time studies) and at the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy (two groups in the field of Physiotherapy, part-time studies).
Since November 1, 2011, e-learning English classes using the Macmillan English Campus online educational platform are conducted at all faculties (all part-time studies).
Since the 2013/2014 academic year, classes on the MEC platform have been run at all faculties.
